Hello, aspiring surface (pattern) designer!

Welcome to my personal Surface (Pattern) Design Library!

I took the long way round in becoming a surface (pattern) designer: It all started out many, many years ago, when I first started to create clip art and design resources from my watercolor art. Later on I discovered print-on-demand sites and realized that I could create designs of the design resources I created myself.

Again, it took me a long time: learning, exploring, trial & error, following online classes, joining art-critiques, and creating a lot of art and designs!

In the beginning, I felt totally overwhelmed and didn’t know where to start. But I was determined to make this work. Building myself a carreer with doing what I absolutely love the most: creating beautiful art & designs that can be printed on products and fabrics and wall paper.

I can say that it was all very much worth it! Being a surface (pattern) designer is the most wonderul carreer if you’d ask me. Yes, it is competitive, yes, you are not the only one pursuing this carreer. But also yes, there is only one of you!

I wish anyone who dreams about becoming a surface designer to be succesful.
